3 factors on deciding a Lully Selb print

What makes a winning design for Lully Selb shawls?  Some days the process of creating a new print is easy, some days are hard and it takes much longer. There are many articles on the process of creativity out there. The most simplified and relatable one is about 5 stages of Making Art. Stage 1- Inspiration  Stage 2- Percolation (processing and refining one's idea-sketching, moodboards) Stage 3- Preparation (painting or drawing simple sketches on wacom tablet) Stage 4- Creation (fine-tuning colors and drawing intensively on Illustrator or Photoshop) Stage 5- Reflection  I was at our printer's last week to check out the new prints. #lullyslist| Prints recap!

I'm so blessed that Lully Selb happened! I knew that I'm going to design shawls when I made my decision to don the hijab back then. We have come thus far, here are the designs from 2016. Which one is your favorite? The first three shawls were inspired by the architecture of Museum of Islamic Art is Qatar. Sheikha Hub brought us and a handful of designers to participate in a fashion show for Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition. Selb Series | Counting Blessings of July

This July has been indeed an exciting one!  Ramadhan and Eid have always been the busiest time of the year but this year is extra special. As I thought through what I wanted to write, I realized that you only really start to count your blessings when you pen them down one by one.    1) We had our best sales this Ramadan since we launched a year ago! Our Blnk Cnvas Eid collection was met with great fanfare since our launch and is now almost sold out!!! Lully's List | Finding My (Art) Style

It's been almost 5 years since I've graduated yet this piece of paper which I tore from my college newsletter is still up on my inspiration board.   Back when I was pursuing Fine Arts, there was always a struggle to find my personal style and thinking: "What will I paint today?"  The famous quote, "An artist fears the black canvas" is definitely true.
